Funny about Money,

It looks like wordpress can import RSS feeds. This maybe a way to move from iWeb to wordpress.

We'll also look into how to make iWeb more Google/Technorati friendly.

Happy to see a post on this subject from one of my Blogger Heroes.

Because I'm not especially techie, I used iWeb to mount my blog: it looked like the path of least resistance, & besides, I'd already paid for Mac.com. It works okay, I guess...but there are several HUGE frustrations I'd like to know if anyone can get around, without having to spend hours searching the Apple's ridiculous "help" site searching for (utterly incomprehensible) answers.

Is there a way to "burgle" iWeb 8 so you can make your site visible to Technorati and Google? Unless you can post code in such a way that their spiders can "see" it, you're sunk. So far I've seen a clue that this is possible, but it's not explained in a way I can understand. Instructions from these huge sites to place their code in your site's heading are irrelevant: you can't get in to the heading, assuming any such thing even exists. This would be easy in annoying MS FrontPage, but it seems to be beyond the pale in iWeb. How, how, how?????

What would be involved in taking two or three months' worth of iWeb content and design and moving it over to WordPress? Would this be the screaming nightmare i suspect it will be?

[...] I’m honored that Alex chose to include my overly verbose response in his survey. I also recently answered questions from Dan at Maciverse. I’m a long-time Apple user, and so was happy to discuss the role of Macintosh computers in my life. [...]
