If it says you're missing fonts, then you need to install those fonts, not iPhoto.

please help I can't currently print from iphoto – when my mac was re-set i think somethings were not re-installed properly. It says I am missing fonts and need at least 1 font to print. I have nearly 12 000 photos in iphoto. If I download iphoto again and install it will I lose my photos?? TIA Jen

i just got my mac and i put in my memory card to upload photos and it asked if i wanted to open up my pictures in iPhoto so i figured why not. so they all imported but for sum reason all of them re just grey, kept some pets of the picture will show but the rest will be grey with zero image. so i pit my men card in a reader and dragged the pics on my desktop but they re still in iPhoto form. in thumb nail versions the pics are full and fine and i can see everything but once i open the picture its all grey again and its driving me nuts! please help

My iPhoto is stuck in the 'LAST IMPORT' screen. I cannot access my library, last 12 months, nothing. How can I get back to the normal screen, where I can navigate throughout iPhoto! Thank you!

I am having the same problem with the double click and black exclamation mark etc. Did you every find out how to correct?

have a standard white macbook and have never used the iphoto until the past week when i downloaded some vacation photos from my camera. as i try to manipulate them with the various functions as well as email them, i have encountered alot of quirks with iphoto. first of all, when i doubleclick a photo for enlarge it, the photo is replaced by a huge black exclamation mark icon, and i am unable to do anything to the photo. also, when i try to email the pictures using the email tab on the bottom, it doesn't load the photos, although it does go to my mail account and the subject line says "great photos." nonetheless, the photos are nowhere to be found. AND it is impossible to close iphoto. last night i had to force quit. unfortunately, i deleted the photos from my camera, but i'm worried they are forever inaccessible…any tips?

Force Quie the application.

Click the Apple in the menu bar, then Force Quit, then select iPhoto. That should solve the loop problem and let you restart your computer.
