Joel – I can’t exactly recall but I do know it took some time. May have been 10 – 15 minutes before it started into the installation.

How long should the boot up to the DVD take?

Problem found: I was using my OSX Leopard DVD from my G5PPC. You have to use the DVD that came with the Macbook Air…apparently not all MAc OSX discs are not the same…

Yes, holding Option down. Turned all the security off too…just in case. I could always get to the same point with security on though…I’m out of ideas. I have tried this both wireless and with the USB ethernet port. I hope to has this solved by the time Snow Leopard is released. Going to try Apple today since I have Applecare still. Thanks

John – Are you sure you’re starting into the boot option where you can select the Boot device? (Hold option during startup) it seems like you may not be doing so.

On you Article…ReInstalling OS X on Macbook Air. I get all the way to waiting for Macbook Air to start up. Then on the MBA, I get the spinning globe…good sign I think…A few min later, I get the “delete icon” and it just sits there. I never do get to the Instal OS X Install screen…any help?
